This well-managed and friendly community, remotely located on the beautiful and pristine Cape York Peninsula in Far North Queensland, is seeking an experienced Airport Manager.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Executive Manager Roads, Infrastructure and Essential Services, this position is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of Council’s Airport in accordance with all necessary Government Regulations and Standards.
About You
As the Airport Manager, you will need to be an aviation all-rounder! In addition, to be considered for this role you will have the following:
- Several years of work related experience or combination of experience and education
- Airport Security Identification Card-airside clearance
- Airport Lighting,
- Ground-Air Radio Operator
- Dangerous Goods Certificate
- Aerodrome Reporting Officer Certificate
- Aircraft refuelling ticket/license
- Current Driver’s license, including HR
- Previous experience working in a remote location and/or indigenous community will be highly regarded.
