  • Network Aviation is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Qantas Group, providing high capacity air charter and regular passenger transport services. From our base at Perth Airport, we specialise in mining industry support, regional airline services and corporate charter flying.

It’s in us to be our best. We see it as our responsibility to take ownership and drive outcomes, ensuring we make a contribution to taking the organisation forward.

As the Airworthiness Review Officer, you are responsible for conducting Airworthiness Reviews and issuing Airworthiness Review certificates in accordance with Subpart 42.I of CASR 1998.

Additionally, you will work with key stakeholders within the Engineering and Maintenance business (Maintenance Planning, Technical Records, Approved Maintenance Organisations, etc.) to ensure required compliance outcomes are met, ensuring a seamless process is followed and aircraft ground time is utilised efficiently.

    Additional responsibilities include:

  • Ensure that all aircraft within the Network Aviation fleet have a current and valid Airworthiness Review Certificate at all times.
  • Develop a 3-year plan, and continually update as required, to ensure that the aircraft never become overdue.
  • Issue/extend CASA Form 502 certificates prior to an expiry date or when an aircraft is grounded, and ensure CASA is alerted in cases of expiry.
  • Liaise with the Maintenance Planning team, to ensure aircraft can be accessed for a physical Airworthiness Review survey and subsequently issue the certificate to record compliance.
  • Ensure compliance and adhere to listed CASA regulations for Airworthiness Review execution.
  • Extract data from the relevant Maintenance Information Systems (IAS and TRAX) to assess compliance and aircraft modification status against external publications (AD’s, Service Bulletins, Modifications etc).
  • Raise and escalate any discrepancies identified through Intelex reports to the continuing airworthiness management team (Responsible Manager) as required.
  • Extracting the latest Approved Maintenance Program schedule from the MIS.
  • Checking aircraft utilisation to ensure that the Maintenance Information System is tracking flying hours and maintenance due times correctly by completing a manual calculation on installed hours/cycles/days and comparing data within various systems.
  • Reviewing all major components including Engines, APU and landing gear in the Maintenance Information System, to ensure utilisation calculations for the life of the aircraft components are correct.

  • To be successful in this role you’ll have –

  • 5 years’ experience in continuing airworthiness management, OR, 2 years’ experience in continuing airworthiness management provided you hold a maintenance certification licence in category B1, B2, or C, OR a licence that is equivalent to a licence in category B1, B2, or C.
  • Ability to build strong and durable relationships.
  • Demonstrated organisational skills with the ability to work to a designated timeline.
  • Ability to operate with minimum supervision.
  • Superior attention to detail.
  • Desire to work both collaboratively, and autonomously.
  • Excellent communication, both verbally and written.
  • Desire to work with procedures and processes.

  • Please note:

Qantas is an equal opportunity employer committed to providing a working environment that embraces and values diversity and inclusion. If you have any support or access requirements, we encourage you to advise us at time of application.

We’re committed to helping you build your career. With the support of your manager, let’s start a conversation about making your next move.
