Seeking an enthusiastic and passionate person to take on a 12-month Alcohol and Other Drugs Traineeship!
About the Role
This position is a 12-month paid work and study role within the Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) team with a focus on creating relationships within the service system network in our region and to connect to further study or ongoing employment within the sector at the end of the traineeship period where applicable.
The trainee will gain extensive experience in networking, working within a professional community health agency and knowledge of AOD work within the sector. The trainee will work individually and collaboratively with the AOD team on a variety of tasks to achieve outcomes of the program.
At the completion of the Traineeship the trainee will be expected to have achieved a Certificate IV in Alcohol and Other Drugs (CHC43215) or other dependent on existing qualifications and skill level.

Essential

- Willingness to complete Certificate IV in Alcohol and Other Drugs within the 12-month period
- An interest in developing a career within the Community Services Sector
- Evidence of written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in the use of IT systems to complete daily work tasks.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work within a team environment.
- Professional and personal alignment with the core values of Primary Care Connect.
- Current Victorian Driver’s Licence, or way to travel independently.
- Satisfactory National Police Record Check.
- Current Working with Children’s Check.
Desirable
- Previous experience in networking.
- A knowledge of local services.
