Your opportunity
To work as a member of a trans-disciplinary Allied Health team, delivering clinical services to clients in the Whitsundays areas of the Mackay Hospital and Health Service, covering a range of clinical conditions, complexity and age groups. The team provide clinical care in person and via tele-heath.
To contribute to client care by providing clinical support tasks delegated under the direct or indirect supervision of an Allied Health Professional (Dietitian, Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, Social Worker or Speech Pathologist).
To assist the Allied Health Professional with clinical, administrative, telehealth and customer service processes and the maintenance and management of equipment, supplies and impress systems.
About the Team
The Whitsunday Health Service is made up of two facilities: The Community Health Campus - Cannonvale and the Hospital Campus - Proserpine. The hospital is a 33-bed acute hospital, which offers a number of specialty inpatient and outpatient services. The Community Health Campus offers a range of Community Health services provided by a multi-disciplinary team.
Mackay Hospital and Health Service has six hospitals, two multi-purpose health services and four community health centres that employ more than 3,700 staff. The district covers an area of approximately 90,000km2 and provides services to patients and their families in Bowen, Cannonvale, Clermont, Collinsville, Dysart, Glenden, Mackay, Middlemount, Moranbah, Proserpine and Sarina.
