Advertising Closes: 23rd April 2024What you'll be doingProvide assistance and support to the Allied Health team in the delivery of services to patients/clients under the direction and supervision of an Allied Health professional.THIS VACANCY IS OPEN TO EXISTING INTERNAL NSW HEALTH SERVICE EMPLOYEES.All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course (2 doses) of a Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA) approved or recognised COVID-19 vaccine (except for the Janssen COVID-19 vaccine, which is approved by the TGA as a single dose primary course).New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health or provide an Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) immunisation history statement certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW. A NSW Health agency may require further information about the medical contraindication (including but not limited to an Immunisation Medical Exemption form – IM011 form).Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.Salary will be accordance with NSW Health State Awards for the advertised classification/s. - Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistant or relevant qualification
- Clinical experience working with elderly / disabled populations in a hospital or other healthcare setting
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal, written & verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work as an effective member of a multi-disciplinary team
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines and complete activities (including ability to work within scope of practice and seek assistance when required) as delegated by the supervising Allied Health professional
- Demonstrated computer literacy skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office and email applications
- Current licence valid to drive in NSW
