An exciting opportunity exists for an Allied Health Assistant Advanced to perform as a highly functioning multidisciplinary team member, contribute to total patient management by providing advanced clinical support tasks delegated under the direct or indirect supervision of an Allied Health Professional (AHP) and contribute to the efficient operation of these services by undertaking other non-treatment activities as required.
Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service (SCHHS) is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south to Gympie in the north.

Key Responsibilities include:
- Provide a defined range of specialised clinical screening assessments for patients with complex needs, as delegated and allowed by testing guidelines and legislation.
- Provide a defined range of treatments for patients with complex conditions, including using decision support tools, clinical pathways and patient guidelines, often in the home and community environments.
- Identify potential changes needed in treatment programs using results from standardised assessment tools and gain endorsement to make these changes following discussion with the supervising Allied Health Professional
- Provide comprehensive education to patients or groups of patients within defined topic areas.
