What you'll be doing
Brighter Beginnings is a collaboration between NSW Health and NSW Department of Education to provide health and development screening and assessment to preschool children in early education and childcare centres in western Sydney.
The Brighter BeginningsAllied Health Assistant will assist and support innovative screening and assessment of four-year-old children in early education settings.
Allied Health Assistants work with children and their parents / carers under the supervision of the treating Allied Health professional.

Essential Criteria
Qualification: Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance/relevant qualification or currently enrolled in training for a Certificate IV in AHA or relevant qualification.
Selection Criteria
- Demonstrated previous experience in a health, early childhood education centre or community environment.
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate across all levels with internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work as a contributing member of an Allied Health team.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise workload delegated by supervising AHPs, meet deadlines and complete activities within scope of practice, seeking assistance as required.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with families from different psychosocial, socio economic or CALD backgrounds.
- Demonstrated computer literacy skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work within a professional care giving capacity in a positive manner to achieve positive outcomes.
- Current NSW Drivers Licence and willingness to use for work purposes.
