What You Will Be Doing
Position Description
The AHA Grade 2 assists Allied Health professionals in the provision of best practise patient centred care, working in clinic and natural settings (e.g. homes, kinders, parks) to support our participants to achieve their goals. We have developed clear processes so you will be supported to build your skills across Speech Pathology, Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy intervention techniques for working with individuals and in group programs. Your journey with each participant begins with a joint visit with the clinician and you are given ongoing clinical support. Our AHA's are valued members of our fun, collaborative and supportive team!
What You Need
We anticipate you will have:
• Cert 3 in Allied Health Assistant
• NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Drivers Licence
• Experience working with children and families
• Experience working in collaborative teams
Essential Criteria-
- Certificate IV (Allied Health Assistants) or equivalent including working towards a relevant Allied Health professional qualification
- Demonstrated capacity of Departments of Health's four key areas of individual therapy, group therapy, communication of participant information, equipment and environment.
- Skills and commitment to working in child-centred and family-focused practices including skills in working with vulnerable and disadvantaged families.
- Understanding of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and the principles of consumer directed care.
- Demonstrated ability to show initiative and work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team
- Computer skills (intermediate level, or above) in a Windows environment including word processing, data collection and entry, internet and email.
- Exceptional organisational skills and ability to prioritise duties and best/evidence based practice.
- Holder of a current ‘Working with Children Check', NDIS compliance check and current Victorian Driver's License.

Enterprise Barganing Agreement-
*Please refer to salary circular for HEALTH AND ALLIED SERVICES, MANAGERS AND ADMINISTRATIVE WORKERS (VICTORIAN PUBLIC SECTOR) (SINGLE INTEREST EMPLOYERS) ENTERPRISE AGREEMENT 2021-2025 for salary range. Sub-grading will be based on years of experience.
