About the Role:
An exciting opportunity is presented to work within the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network as an Allied Health Assistant within the Aged Care, Rehabilitation and Palliative Care Division.
The Northern Adelaide Geriatric Service (NAGS) is committed to providing best practice care that supports consumer choice and celebrates individuality in ageing. Allied Health Assistant opportunities are present across the newly established Northern Reablement and Intermediate Care to Return Home (NRICH) Service based at ACH Healthia, the Geriatric Evaluation and Management (GEM) Unit and the Geriatrics In The Home (GITH) Service.
We deliver innovative, holistic, person-centred care to a diverse group of Geriatric clients. We promote ageing with dignity, respect and compassion through valuing patients time, supportive communication and shared decision making.
Allied Health Assistants are responsible for assisting therapy staff in the provision of treatment services for patients of NALHN Allied Health services, including delivering clinical services delegated by Allied Health Professional staff. In addition, the Allied Health Assistant is required to assist with preparation of therapy resources and maintenance of a tidy and safe work area, which contributes to the running of effective Allied Health services.
To be eligible for this position, you must hold or be undertaking a Certificate 3 in Allied Health Assistance or equivalent.
