What You Will Be Doing
The Allied Health Assistant (AHA) will competently provide assessment and intervention for patients requiring Physiotherapy services at Frankston Hospital and other sites if required. This role requires a working with a person-centred approach to provide efficient and safe patient care within a defined scope of practice across all areas of the hospital. The role also performs administrative and other support functions within the physiotherapy department, including maintaining equipment stock, ordering and equipment cleaning. The AHA will provide supervision and mentoring to other AHA staff and will assume teaching responsibilities for AHA students.
What You Need
We anticipate you will have:
• Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance (or equivalent)
• Clinical experience in an acute hospital setting
• A sound understanding of scope of practice in an acute setting
• Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
• Demonstrated competence with IT systems
• Previous experience working with orthopaedic patients

*Please refer to salary circular Victorian Public Health Sector (Health and Allied Services, Managers and Administrative Workers) Single Interest Enterprise Agreement 2021-2025 for salary range. Sub-grading will be based on years of experience.
