We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Allied Health Assistant (AHA) to assist Allied Health Clinicians in a range of settings including Community Health, Acute, Aged Care, outreach and consumer homes. This position is up to full time.
East Grampians Health Service is based in Ararat and Willaura (Regional Victoria) and takes its name from the magnificent mountain range that provides a backdrop to both townships. Only a short 2-hour trip up the highway from Melbourne. East Grampians Health Service aims to meet the needs of the community by offering a vast array of services based at the Community Health Centre in Ararat. We offer outreach services to Willaura as well as the Bush Nursing Centres in Lake Bolac and Elmhurst. Our services include Dental, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Occupational Therapy, Podiatry, Speech Pathology, Dietetics, Diabetes Education, Social Work and Health Promotion. These services support other clinical areas including our acute and residential aged care patients.
What we OfferAbout the Role
The successful applicant would be working under the supervision and delegation of Allied Health Professionals and supporting the delivery of high-quality consumer care. This position is in the Community Health Centre but includes consumer care in Acute, Residential and Community settings.
About You- Certificate III or IV Allied Health Assistant qualification or an applicant with an interest in this area of work and with an intention to complete a formal qualification.
- Experience working in a community setting as an AHA working with a variety of Allied Health Professionals.
