The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Allied Health Assistant to join the Occupational Therapy team on a permanent part-time basis. You will be tasked with implementing group activities under the direction and supervision of the occupational therapist with adult inpatient and outpatients. The role also involves providing administrative assistance, individual cognitive therapy and physical therapy to assist the OT team with the daily management of our caseload. As an Allied Health Assistant, your responsibilities will include
- Support members of the Allied Health team to provide high standard of clinical care to patients/families
- Work under the direct supervision of Occupational Therapists to help patients achieve their goals
- Adhere to Healthscope and site policies and procedures
- Contribute to efficient and effective running of the department
- Demonstrate a commitment to continuous quality improvement and occupational health and safety
Deliver a high standard of customer service at all times
Essential Criteria
- Experience in the role of a rehabilitation Allied Health Assistant
Certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance (Occupational Therapy)
Desirable Criteria
- Knowledge of Occupational Therapy role in a rehabilitation setting
- English proficiency both verbal and written
Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel spreadsheets
