Access theAbout the roleThe purpose of this position is to deliver contemporary clinical mental health services in the areas of assessment, intervention, treatment planning and evaluation for adults with severe and complex mental health needs within a community mental health setting in accordance with professional, ethical and National Mental Health standards and legislation.About youOur ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
- Recognised knowledge and clinical skills in mental health as obtained through relevant tertiary education, with a demonstrated ability to translate and apply this knowledge to clinical service provision within the context of a multidisciplinary team. These services include the use of core discipline assessment and intervention skills, diagnostic and formulation skills, treatment planning and case management.
- Demonstrated ability to build, maintain and effectively manage professional relationships with consumers, carers and families, service providers and other health professionals, including the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Ability to apply effective written and verbal communication skills to provide professional services and advice in a manner that is consistent with evidence-based care, recovery principals and in accordance with relevant prescribed professional and ethical standards.
- Demonstrated ability to participate in quality or service improvement activities under the clinical practice and / or professional supervision of a more experienced practitioner.
- Knowledge of the Mental Health Act 2016 and other relevant legislations.

Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager, prior to the commencement of clinical duties.
