About the role:
Reporting to the Executive Team, the Allied Health Team Manager participates as a team member within ONCALL Group Australia /SACARE, ensuring optimal care and outcomes, by providing a comprehensive range of Occupational Therapy services to a variety of clients, across various settings.
The Allied Health Team Manager applies advanced clinical experience and knowledge to plan, implement and evaluate comprehensive and integrated services to the needs of clients.
The role also provides support to staff and clinical supervision to Allied Health students and other Allied Health professionals as required.
Some of the duties are as listed below, but not limited to:
- Using advanced professional knowledge and expert skill to provide assessments, interpret findings, plan and implement intervention in collaboration with clients, carers and other health professionals.
- Providing leadership and clinical guidance to all members of the Allied Health Team.
- Undertaking Allied Health staff probation reviews and performance reviews, whilst providing constructive feedback and support.
- Undertaking disciplinary processes in collaboration with People and Culture.
- Work under limited direction, accepting professional responsibility for a high standard of complex, specialised or strategically significant work, including providing advice to Executive on the effective allocation of resources in the delivery of services across OGA / SACARE
- Undertaking comprehensive discharge planning in conjunction with other team members.
- Maintaining and developing high level clinical and professional knowledge and skills.
- All employees are responsible and accountable for keeping accurate, legible and complete records of their activities.
- Participation in departmental meetings.
- Contributing to the initiation and development of departmental procedures and policies.
- Ensuring documentation is consistent with service policy and practice.
- Participating in quality improvement activities, research, and performance enhancement.
- Providing direct clinical supervision to undergraduate students and to work experience students.
- Providing a role model, by demonstrating professional behaviour, and high-level clinical reasoning skills.
About you:
To be considered for this position, candidates must have:
- A recognised Occupational Therapy qualification and as a regulated profession be eligible for full registration for Allied Health within Australia
