Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Allied Health Therapy Assistant Level 2 to join our team, providing specialized support to individuals with diverse needs in educational environments.
The incumbent will collaborate closely with therapists and educational staff to implement advanced therapeutic strategies and enhance clients' participation and progress.
This role requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in ALLIED HEALTH and a demonstrated ability to support clients with complex challenges effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Therapeutic Support:
- Work closely with therapists to implement therapy plans, incorporating specialized techniques and interventions to address complex sensory, behavioral, and learning needs.
- Provide expert assistance during specialized lessons and activities, ensuring clients receive high-quality support tailored to their individual requirements.
- 2. School Integration and Leadership:
- Take a leadership role in supporting clients' integration into the school environment, advocating for inclusive practices and promoting independence in daily routines.
- Collaborate with educational leadership to develop and implement innovative approaches to integrating therapy techniques into the curriculum and school programs.
3. Documentation and Analysis:
- Maintain comprehensive and detailed records of therapy sessions, progress notes, and client assessments, adhering to professional standards and organizational protocols.
- Analyse client progress and response to interventions, identifying trends and areas for further development, and providing insightful feedback to the therapy team and stakeholders.
- 4. Communication and Collaboration:
- Foster effective communication and collaboration among multi-disciplinary teams, including therapists, educators, and caregivers, to ensure seamless coordination of care.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum of 1 year experience working with NDIS participants.
- Must have full Australian drivers license.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Allied Health Therapy Assistant or in a related role, with a proven track record of supporting clients with diverse needs.
- Advanced knowledge and expertise in therapeutic techniques and interventions, with a focus on ASD, ADHD, GDD, and learning difficulties.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, families, and professional colleagues.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality care.
- Leadership qualities, including the ability to take initiative, work independently, and collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
