About the RoleWe are seeking a responsible and caring Ambulance Attendants to join our team in Metropolitan Melbourne on a casual basis with the opportunity to move to permanent positions when vacancies occur. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to providing high-quality service to our clients, ensuring their safety and comfort during transportation. Candidates must be able to work across a variety of shifts including day, afternoon and night shifts across both weekdays and weekends.
The salary for this role is in alignment with National Patient Transports Enterprise Agreement 2023 plus super.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Primary care, clinical monitoring and patient care for low and medium acuity cases;
- Providing clinical handovers for all transfers;
- Delivery of high quality patient care in a timely, safe and efficient manner;
- Complying with clinical and operational policies and procedures as specified in patient transport regulations and protocols;
- Excellent customer service;
- Safe driving of patient transport vehicles in accordance with respective road laws across Victoria.
- Successful completion of Diploma Paramedical Science, Bachelor of Paramedicine or Bachelor Nursing
- In addition to the Diploma or Bachelor Paramedicine you will need to have completed 400 on road supervised clinical hours to work as an ATA;
- Current Full Drivers licence and good driving record;
- Current National Police Check and Working with Children Check;
- Ability to work professionally as part of a team with effective communication and excellent interpersonal skills.
