About the Role

The Digital & information Services branch delivers agile and transformative information and technology, enabling council to be a leader in providing innovative and sustainable services to its communities.

As an Analyst Developer

  • Integration Mastery: You'll oversee the intricate dance of data and functionality between our Corporate Applications. Your focus will be to ensure every interaction is streamlined, aligned with our business objectives, and fortified by your technical acumen.
  • Software Development: Craft, test, and maintain secure software applications and integrations that don't just meet but exceed user-defined specifications. By adhering to top-tier design principles, you'll ensure our software stands as a beacon of quality and efficiency.
  • Collaborative Solutions: Together with project managers, business analysts, and a diverse range of clients, you'll forge innovative tech solutions. Moreover, in sync with our DevOps Engineers, you'll keep our in-house software running at peak performance.
  • Strategic Evaluations: Your expertise will be crucial in high-level technical assessments, ensuring every piece of our software integrates flawlessly with the council's systems while maintaining security and compatibility.

This position has recently relocated to Sunshine Coast City Hall, based in the heart of Maroochydore CBD. This state of the art and sustainable building is designed to achieve an innovative and collaborative workspace.

What We're Looking For

  • Interpersonal Excellence: Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills are essential. You should excel in building effective relationships, consultation, negotiation, conflict resolution, and assertiveness. These skills are paramount in resolving issues and meeting the dynamic needs of our organisation.
  • Analytical Prowess: We expect a strong aptitude for research, analytical problem-solving, and evaluation. Your capacity to dissect complex problems and devise innovative solutions for a diverse clientele will be critical in this role.
  • Educational & Professional Background: A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (with subjects in Software Development and Analysis) is a must. This should be complemented by substantial, proven industry experience and industry-recognized qualifications and assessments.
  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in the following is essential:
    • C# & .NET
    • Microsoft Azure
    • DevOps practices, especially CI/CD
    • Integration technologies, including but not limited to APIs, Rest, SOAP, CSV, and SFTP.
