The Role...
As a laboratory technician you will undertake the following
1. Mechanical and performance characterisation of energetic materials; including mechanical property assessment, burn rate determination and physical properties.
2. Analysis of test data.
3. Maintenance of test facilities, liaise with workshop staff as required, prepare hardware and materials, conduct pre-test checks and post-test clean-up.
4. Ensure compliance documentation required for the safe operation of the laboratory is in place and current including managing the risks of hazardous chemicals in the workplace
5. Assist in the preparation and review of risk assessments and process documentation
You will need
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in analytical chemistry.
Demonstrated understanding of QA/QC as it applies to analytical chemistry.
Demonstrated practical experience using a range of analytical chemistry testing equipment.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience working with hazardous chemicals.
A tertiary qualification in Science, majoring in Chemistry
