Kmart and Target are at the forefront of a multi-year transformational journey, reshaping our Supply Chain to meet strategic and operational demands. At the heart of this transformation lies the need for a robust analytics capability. To optimize current performance and unlock future value across domestic and international Supply Chain streams, we are creating a pivotal role, Analytics Lead -Supply Chain.
As part of the Supply Chain transformation team, the Analytics Lead will engage with relevant business and delivery teams, understand the business problems to solve, identify where analytics driven services can be provided to achieve better outcomes and define the appropriate solution. They will work closely with Supply Chain teams, Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and the broader Supply Chain transformation team to develop and embed advanced analytics data products.
This role will be based in Kmart's National Office in Mulgrave and reports to the Head of Analytics - Supply Chain Transformation.
What you'll be doing:
As Analytics Lead - Supply Chain, your responsibilities will include:

  • Design and deliver an analytics roadmap that ensures optimal business value within both domestic and international Supply Chain domains.
  • Act as the bridge between business users, stakeholders, and the data engineering/data science team. Ensure seamless communication and alignment throughout the end-to-end process of scoping, development, and agile delivery of analytical solutions.
  • Dive deep into business goals and challenges. Apply problem framing, design thinking, and analytics techniques to translate requirements to data scientists and articulate analytical outputs back to business teams.
  • Ensure that the analytics solution produces actionable insights, communicates their benefits effectively to business users, and fosters adoption, ultimately driving value realization.
To be successful in this role you'll have:
  • 5+ years' experience in analytics translation, product ownership, analytics consulting, or data science/machine learning solutions
  • Bachelor's degree, ideally in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Finance, Economics, or Statistics.
  • Essential experience in Supply Chain, preferably both international and domestic
  • Ability to build strong relationships with team members, analytics professionals, and business stakeholders.
  • Clear and concise communication style, effective presentation and influencing skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities, prioritize effectively, and deliver results in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • High levels of curiosity with considered and pragmatic problem-solving skills
  • Experience in agile development methodology and product management
  • The ability to think outside the box, apply business logic, and develop bespoke analytical solutions.
