AddressKingston Human Capital has been engaged by a prominent and reputable Queensland Government Department to assist in the recruitment of a Permanent AO4 Finance Officer to join their Corporate Operations Team.

About your role as a Finance Officer
In the role as Finance Officer (Corporate Operations) you will participate in a wide range of operational tasks, including banking, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and procurement.
You will also carry out month end and year end processes including the preparation of reconciliations as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare reconciliations, journals, reports and correspondence.
- Contribute to the timely creation and processing of purchase orders, accounts payable and accounts receivable documents.
- Monitoring and reviewing activities to ensure financial data integrity, compliance with internal control requirements, legislation and policies, identification of process improvements.
- Provide accurate timely advice on operational finance matters to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Work as part of the Corporate Operations team to deliver operational finance services whilst participating in an environment that delivers a skilled, motivated and productive team able to meet daily operational deadlines.
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and results-oriented approach
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent MS Excel skills
- Understanding of accounting principles and a strong ability to problem solve
- Hight level of adaptability and flexibility in fast-paced environments
- Previous state government experience is highly desirable
- SAP ECC6 or S4HANA experience will be highly regarded
