About the Role

Technology Support provides vital support services to ABC content makers and audiences. Our team operations of 4 people located onsite in Brisbane are seeking a detail oriented Senior Operations Officer to deliver technical services and management of digital content technology/assets for ABC users nationally whilst managing and guiding the team.
You will also:
- Design, implement and continuously improve comprehensive asset tracking processes and systems for the ongoing management of technology kits and spare parts, including documentation of their specifications, and current locations.
- Manage and optimise a national inventory of shared equipment kits and spare parts, ensuring efficient use of the ABC’s technology assets.
- Undertake significant research and provide recommendations for the purchase of new, or repair of existing digital production technology with the team to meet evolving changes nationally.
- Monitor technology budgets, including forecasting and preparation of financial reports as required.
About You
You will have an understanding of digital media production and innovation, and be familiar with contemporary asset management processes, relevant to technology. You are organised, can plan effectively, are calm under the pressure of deadlines and have knowledge in logistics support.
You will also need:
- Highly advanced communication and interpersonal skills with a strong client focus and the ability to establish strategic working relationships and convey very complex technical information in a clear and concise manner.
- Demonstrated highly advanced leadership skills with the ability to lead and manage small teams, including guiding, training, and supporting team members across a breadth of processes and digital content production technology.
- Demonstrated financial management experience, including the preparation of forecasts and budget monitoring and reporting
