Program Overview
The Cairns IHRSC is a service that provides support to access and sustain short term accommodation for singles and couples experiencing homelessness, or at imminent risk of homelessness with no other alternative accommodation or housing options. Via a case management framework, the Immediate Housing Relief for Singles and Couples provides pro-active support services to assist people to stabilise their situation and aims to facilitate transition to safe and secure housing.
To Be Successful You Will Need
- Proven case management experience using a holistic and client centered approach to managing your case load.
- Extensive experience working in government funded programs with strict budgetary and contractual requirements of service.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including government bodies, community organisations, and other service providers to provide efficient and effective services to clients.
- Knowledge of organisational programs, policies and operations.
- Industry relevant qualifications (Minimum requirement - Certificate IV)
- Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, families and communities will be highly regarded
- Experience working with people from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds will be highly regarded
Compliance
- A current QLD Drivers Licence 'Class C' or interstate equivalent.
- Blue Card (Working with children card)
- A current national police check (within the last 3 months)
- Current First Aid & CPR certificate
