As the Application Platform Manager, reporting to the Director of Digital Delivery at Spark, you will play a pivotal role in managing the day-to-day operation, support, administration, and development of the Application & Data Platform.
Central to the role will be the ownership of the Master Data Management Strategy (MDMS), and the development of a Common Data Environment (CDE).
Additionally, you will drive improvements that lead to increased productivity, reduced costs, and improved team satisfaction across the business.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operation, support, administration, and development of the Application Platform, which includes both the MDMS and CDE.
- Optimise costs associated with operations and initiatives, including budgeting, and forecasting activities.
- Take ownership of the MDMS, ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and security of data assets crucial for the project.
- Lead the development of a CDE and final data asset that aligns with project requirements and satisfies customer needs.
- Ensure compliance with all state and contractual obligations related to IT services and data security.
- Lead and manage IT delivery projects, including planning, budgeting, and resource allocation to achieve project goals.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to establish seamless technology and application connectivity, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Manage relationships with third-party vendors and contractors for IT services and software solutions to ensure they meet project needs and standards.
- Demonstrate proficiency in data management, database design, and the creation of digital assets that support the project's digital infrastructure.
- Maintain software development and software administration best practices.
- Deliver a MDMS aligned with the overall project goals and objectives, ensuring that technology and data driven solutions contribute to the project's success.
- Maintain effective communication with stakeholders including the customer, steering committees, and various senior stakeholders, to ensure the MDMS goals and progress are well understood.
- Implement change management principles to efficiently introduce new technologies and processes within the project, while ensuring stakeholder buy-in.
- Provide strong leadership to the IT team responsible for the development and maintenance of the MDMS, fostering teamwork and ensuring productivity.
- Identify and address MDMS challenges in a proactive and informed manner to keep project operations running smoothly.
- Leverage familiarity with construction processes, terminology, and the unique challenges of construction projects to tailor MDMS solutions accordingly.

Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of development and technical architecture best practices.
- Proficiency in data management, database design, and digital asset creation.
- Proven experience in project management, including planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Understanding of cybersecurity best practices.
- Familiarity with construction processes and terminology.
- Strong technical, strategic and people leadership skills.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in managing third-party vendors and contractors for IT services and software solutions.
- Familiarity with change management principles to implement new technologies and processes efficiently.
- A proven ability to align IT strategies with the project's overall goals and objectives and bring stakeholders along for the journey.
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or similar professional experience.
- A bachelor's degree in a related engineering field, or similar professional experience would be advantageous.
