You will play a pivotal role in bringing to market new and cutting-edge products for our clients worldwide who rely on MST’s solutions for the safe and productive operation of their mines. You will responsible for facilitating product introduction starting with product field trial planning, deployment and validation before the product is fully released and continue on with training and support of our regional service teams during first few customer deployments after the product is released to market. Creating and delivering training to customers on site will also be part of your role.
A positive and influential collaborator, you will work with global research and development, marketing, and sales teams to lead the introduction and deployment of latest MST products and solutions. You will be responsible for managing pre-release field trials, product introduction activities and internal and external product training. You will work closely on site with the end-users to achieve a successful introduction and adoption of MST’s new released products.
What does success look like?
- Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Mining Engineering or equivalent.
- Three years’ experience as an Application Engineer working with enterprise level software and hardware solutions preferably for mining industry.
- Proven success delivering new products, from concept to lifecycle, working with cross-functional teams and influencing outcomes.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to confidently communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated history of product introduction and deployment of commercially successful software and hardware solutions.
- Flexibility to travel locally, interstate or internationally to represent the company.
- Experience creating product training and delivering to customers.
- Experienced with installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Linux based applications, set up network (ethernet and wireless) configuration allowing applications to connect to remote servers, perform software upgrades through custom scripts, manage databases (Couchbase DB, Postgres DB preferably).
- Experience with web applications, Windows server experience and windows-based application is also of interest, however the ideal candidate would be comfortable with both Window Server and Linux OS environments.
- Experience with Azure, AWS cloud infrastructure would be advantageous.
- Experience with managing SSL certificates and configuring single sign on over ADFS
- Experience of Key Cloak would be advantageous.
