Role Summary:
Flowserve is seeking a dedicated Apprentice to join our team in Australia. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and supportive environment while working with industry experts. As an Apprentice, you will be involved in various aspects of pump manufacturing, learning the skills necessary to become a proficient tradesperson.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the assembly, maintenance, and repair of industrial pumps.
Learn to operate machinery and tools used in pump manufacturing.
Participate in training sessions and workshops to develop technical skills.
Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Collaborate with experienced technicians and engineers on various projects.
Document work processes and maintain accurate records of tasks completed.
Attend relevant courses and training programs to enhance knowledge and skills.
Requirements:
Minimum of Year 10 education or equivalent.
Strong interest in mechanical engineering and manufacturing.
Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced personnel.
Basic understanding of tools and machinery used in manufacturing.
Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks.
Preferred Experience / Skills:
Prior experience or training in a mechanical or manufacturing environment.
Familiarity with industrial pumps and their components.
Basic knowledge of health and safety practices in a workshop setting.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
Enthusiasm for continuous learning and professional development.
