We are looking for an Apprentice Chef - 1st or 2nd Year to join our Rydges World Square team.
Our kitchen works at a fast pace and work schedules will include weekends. You will need to be passionate about delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests, career driven and a team player.

Training as an Apprentice Chef covers basic culinary skills, knife skills, knowledge of ingredients, use of commercial equipment and kitchen procedures.
Your main duties include but not limited to:
- Assisting the chef in the preparation and cooking of meals.
- Training to learn procedures and duties in food preparation.
- Working under the supervision of the chef.
- Operating commercial cooking equipment such as mixers, steamers, fryers, ovens and stoves.
- Serves food when required.
- Kitchen cleaning, such as dish washing and equipment cleaning, sanitation.
- Assists in other areas of food preparation and storage.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have a passion for the hospitality industry.
- Be punctual & reliable.
- Have flexibility to work different shifts.
- Be well presented.
- Be committed to completing their Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
