As an Apprentice Chef at Luigi's, you will work directly under the guidance of our experienced kitchen staff, learning the ins and outs of preparing authentic Italian cuisine. This is an incredible opportunity to develop your culinary skills in a supportive and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the daily operations of the kitchen, including food preparation and dish plating.
- Learn and apply proper cooking techniques under the supervision of senior chefs.
- Always maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen.
- Participate in inventory control and ensure quality of ingredients.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop new dishes and menus.
- Comply with all health and safety kitchen regulations.
- Position involves nights, days and weekend shifts.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Passion for cooking and a keen interest in Italian cuisine.
- Basic understanding of kitchen equipment and operations.
- Strong desire to learn and a proactive attitude.
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Current or aspiring chef school students are highly encouraged to apply.
