Stramech Engineering specialises in providing Precision CNC Machining, Heavy Engineering and Fabrication services to various industries throughout Australia.
We are now looking to employ our next intake of apprentices.
The successful applicant will learn and gain practical experience from the ground up in CNC Milling, Turning and Boring of metal components using technologically advanced machinery.
You will learn how to read workshop drawings, work from CAD files, plan the most efficient order of machine operations for jobs, program, set-up and monitor performance of machines and check completed parts against quality and technical standards.
If you naturally enjoy computers, making things and have a good mathematical aptitude then this may be the career path for you.
Stramech will provide mentoring, training and support for apprentices and is seeking committed applicants who possess enthusiasm and are wanting to learn and develop new skills.
Once successfully completed, a Nationally recognised Qualification as a CNC Machinist will provide you with lifelong opportunities.
To be considered for this opportunity you must demonstrate the following:
- Be able to show a genuine desire to pursue an apprenticeship and career as a CNC Machinist
- A mature nature with mechanical aptitude, strong mathematical and computing skills and have completed year 12
- Be self motivated, have a positive attitude and a willingness to learn
- Must be able to work in a team environment, be honest, reliable, punctual and well presented
- High level of concentration and dexterity
- Demonstrate a "Safety First" attitude
- Reliable transport to and from work
Applicants must be willing to undergo a Pre-Employment Medical and Drug and Alcohol Testing
Applicants who reach a second round interview will be required to sit an Aptitude Test
