Purpose of the position:
Apprentices play an integral role in our team and will be responsible for their commitment and focus to learning and training. The key focus of the role is to ensure that as a Simplex Apprentice, you work effectively, efficiently, and ethically within the company's policies and practices. Once successful in completing your apprenticeship, you will have the opportunity to join the Simplex team as a qualified and skilled tradesperson in your own right.
Salary and Conditions
- The position is a full-time position at 40 hours per week with a reasonable amount of overtime as required.
- Provision of Company Uniform.
- The position will undertake a performance review according to the position description.
- All new permanent positions will be required to undertake a period of probation upon commencement, this period will be 6 months in length.
Position Requirements / Competencies
Applicants must have completed or be in the process of completing a pre-vocational/pre-apprenticeship program (cert II in Electrotechnology) and must have a valid Driving License (manual).
Key tasks and responsibilities:
- To work closely with the team and build knowledge.
- Commitment to offsite and onsite learning.
- To carry yourself in a manner that reflects Simplex’s brand and ethos.
- To follow and adhere to Simplex’s safe work practices and company work procedures.
To be successful:
- Completion of Year 12 (preferred).
- White Card.
- Have excellent communication both written and oral.
- Self-motivated and able to prioritise activities.
- Good computer skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Flexibility in working hours.
- Certificate II of Electro Technology (preferred).
- Manual driver's license.
As a prerequisite, all employees undergo a mandatory pre-employment medical and police check.
