Qube Bulk is an industry leader in safety initiatives and innovation through advanced In-Vehicle Management Systems (IVMS), fleet monitoring, supply chain management technology and equipment performance-based standards engineering.We are seeking a 2nd or 3rd year Apprentice Heavy Diesel Mechanic for our workshop in Whyalla. The main focus of this role will be helping keep our modern fleet of Prime movers, earthmoving equipment and Port Equipment serviced, maintained and repaired as needed in accordance with requirementsWhat's in it for you?

- Completed or currently enrolled in Year 12 preferable or Completion or near completion of a pre-apprenticeship or relevant vocational training
- Current valid SA driver's license desirable
- Good level of language, literacy and numeracy skills
- Part or full-time work experience in any field of work would be desirable
- Mechanical aptitude and good problem-solving skills
- Interest in heavy equipment (trucks, loaders etc)
- Ok to complete heavy and sometimes dirty work
- Ability to work safely in a regulated environment
- Carry out truck and trailer scheduled servicing, maintenance and inspections
- Maintain fleet paper trail on servicing, maintenance and repairs
- Carry out repairs as directed and parts change outs
- Attend fleet breakdowns
- Communicate effectively with drivers and plant operators
- Order parts using order numbers and listed suppliers
- Maintenance of company vehicles and mechanical aids.
- Maintenance schedule and operating manuals/procedures.
- Identify and record deficiencies relating to products and services.
