With a booming, culturally rich and diverse community, and less than an hour's drive from the CBD, Melbourne's North is fast becoming the place to be!The Role:Grade 2 Physiotherapist - Paediatrics, Northern HealthFixed Term Part time (30.4 hours per fortnight) until 18/12/2024An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic Paediatric Physiotherapists to join the team at Northern Health.The Grade 2 Physiotherapists will provide leadership and ensure high level, evidence-based physiotherapy care to paediatric patients across Northern Hospital Epping and Craigieburn Centre. The role includes the organisation, implementation, development and supervision of physiotherapy care and the promotion of best practice. Areas of clinical work include paediatric outpatients at Northern Health and may include cover in inpatient paediatric areas including the Children's Ward and Neonatal unit. The clinical caseload is a combination of orthopaedic, musculoskeletal, neurodevelopmental and includes hydrotherapy. Education and supervision of physiotherapy students and junior staff is also a requirement of this role.To be successful in this role you will have:
- A background which includes significant experience resulting in high level of clinical skill in paediatric physiotherapy
- Experience in physiotherapy assessment and management of a broad variety of conditions managed in the emergency, acute inpatient, sub-acute and community rehabilitation settings including cardiorespiratory, musculoskeletal, and neurological conditions.
- Experience and/or interest in developing skills in student education and staff supervision
- Demonstrated capability in service innovation and development
- Demonstrates leadership skills and initiative in developing and promoting clinical care
- Well developed interpersonal skills.
- Well developed organisational and time management skills
