An exciting opportunity is currently available for an Apprentice Plumber to join the Building, Engineering and Maintenance Team at the Hervey Bay and Maryborough Hospitals within the Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service. The Wide Bay area is arguably one of the most beautiful regions of Queensland. The Health Service stretches from Agnes Water in the North to Maryborough in the South and provides acute care services to a population of over 225,000 residents including several rural communities.

Your opportunity:
- To qualify as Tradesperson Plumber after gaining a thorough working knowledge of the plumbing trade through work experience as well as formal TAFE studies. The position also provides assistance to Plumbing Tradespersons in the performance of their day to day activities.
Temporary Full Time, 76 hrs p.f. for up to 4 years in line with the completion of the apprenticeship.
Prior to being made an offer of employment, you will be required to demonstrate immunity to the following Vaccine Preventable Diseases ( https://tinyurl.com/yc6pgyt2 )(VPD): Hepatitis B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (chicken pox) and Pertussis (whooping cough).
From 9th December 2019 all new employees will be required to be assessed for their risk of Tuberculosis (TB). Our offer:
You will receive a competitive remuneration package value up to $73,155 p.a., comprising salary between $39,708 - $64,117 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HBEAP1-HBEAP4) (Temporary Full Time, 76 hrs p.f. for up to 4 years) (Applications will remain current for 12 months).
