In this role your mechanical knowledge and skills will not only be applied to the workshop but will also translate to your duties as a Mentor / trainer & quality controller where you’ll be supporting our team to always do better, develop and evolve, enhancing workshop operations.

About the role
Reporting to our Service Manager, this role involves you being a leader in driving high quality vehicle servicing and maintenance including but not limited to.
- Dedicated workshop mentor for Apprentices and Technicians providing on the job training and support
- Assisting Apprentices & Technicians with their skills, providing technical support when needed.
- Accurately identifying and reporting on service, repair, and warranty work.
- Perform road testing and conduct quality control check assessments.
- Liaise with Workshop Controller and redirect any examples of incomplete/incorrect repairs, maintenance, or documentation back to appropriate technician or advisor
- Work collaboratively towards a seamless positive guest experience from the initial check in to the collection of the vehicle
- Provide excellent internal/ guest communication and clear concise explanations of the job.
- Cultivate a safe working environment ensuring the correct operation of tools / specialised equipment.
- Contribute to a dynamic and diverse service workshop team environment
- Hourly rate of $28-$38 commensurate on experience
Skills & Experience
- Previous Toyota experience highly regarded but not essential.
- Minimum of 6 years trade experience.
- Proven ability to work autonomously, collaboratively and to lead by example
- Knowledge and mechanical experience to service, repair, diagnose across a wide range of makes and models
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to a job done right the first time.
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Full Australian Trade Motor Mechanic Qualifications
- A Current Manual Driver’s Licence
