Pre-apprenticeship Industry Trainer

We’re open to consider all trades who may have up to a Cert II level with some experience, especially in the fields of Electro, Automotive, Auto-Electrical, Construction or Engineering.

Job Description:

We are seeking a Trainer and Assessor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality training and assessment services to our students. The ideal candidate will have a trade qualification and/or a TAE, but may not necessarily have the teaching experience. Either way, our RTO has the people and support to help you on your journey and get you the skills you need to succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Be present, listen, and mentor students.
• Be flexible and solutions driven.
• Help students complete Certificate I & II pre-apprenticeship qualifications. (Including VET in Schools)
• Deliver practical and exciting training that sets students up for success into apprenticeship pathways.
• Deliver courses in accordance with training packages and industry requirements.
• Maintain regular contact with students, supervisors, and stakeholders, monitor progress, and ensure student and/or employer satisfaction benchmarks are met.

Key Requirements:

• A trade qualification and/or a TAE (Cert IV TAE40116 or higher).
• A passion for training and mentoring.
• Industry experience from one or more of these industries: Electro, Automotive, Auto-Electrical, Construction or Engineering.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to adapt to changing environments and requirements.
