Apprenticeship - Certificate III in Commercial Cookery

Dream to become a chef? You could be working alongside highly skilled chefs, while persuing your Certificate III in Commercial Cookery. This is a great opportunity for those who what hands on experience in the industry!

If successful:

• You will be working full time 38 hours per week while studying a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery & upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, you will be a qualified Chef.
• Total apprenticeship term: 4 years
• You will be placed with one of our host employers, where you will work alongside experienced chefs to learn the skills and techniques required to become a qualified commercial cook.
• Immediate start available

Recent school leavers & Out of Trade apprentices are also encouraged to apply!

Duties may include, but not limited to:

• Assist with the preparation and cooking of high-quality meals for our customers, in accordance with our menu and recipes.
• Learn how to manage the kitchen, including stock control, ordering, and food preparation schedules.
• Adhere to all health and safety standards, including food hygiene and sanitation.
• Work closely with the team to ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standard.
• Learn to work efficiently in a busy kitchen environment.
• Any other tasks requested by the host employer

Applicants will ideally meet the following criteria:

• Have a real passion for food
• Be eligible to complete an apprenticeship
• Demonstrate a great attitude and willingness to work
• Be motivated with a positive attitude
• Be reliable, punctual and able to demonstrate initiative
• Be well presented
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.
• Problem solving capabilities
• Work well under pressure and able to demonstrate resilience
