THE APPRENTICESHIP
Marmino Marine are looking for someone who is motivated and has great attention to detail, who can work to deadlines and schedules, who can work autonomously and within a team environment. A person who is motivated and can take on challenges of a fast-paced company.
Undertaking this four-year apprenticeship will give you the opportunity to become a qualified Heavy Duty Diesel Plant Mechanic in the Marine Industry, and earn your recognised Training qualification.
You will be mentored by qualified tradespeople and develop the skills to work on and around diesel marine engines, generators and drive systems in a workshop and mobile environment. By the completion of this apprenticeship you will have the skills & knowledge to perform a broad range of mechanical and electronic engine diagnostics service and repair tasks in the marine industry.
This position is in O’Connor.
What the role involves:
- Engine rebuilding
- Maintenance and repairs
- Auxiliary component build
- Electronic engine diagnostics and repairs
- Pre-delivery tasks
- Use of hand & power tools
- Assisting Tradesmen with all general mechanical duties

MUST HAVES
- Year 12 completion favourable
- Completed Pre-apprenticeship in Mechanical/HD/Automotive
- Manual Drivers licence
- Thirst for knowledge and learning new skills
- Strong attention to detail
