Karora Resources is a Canadian owned, multi-asset gold producer with operations across the Goldfields region of Western Australia. Our producing mining operations of Beta Hunt and Higginsville are supported by two processing facilities, one on site at Higginsville and our Lakewood plant located in Kalgoorlie, providing a combined processing capacity of 2.6Mtpa.

THE OPPORTUNITY
- Newly created role
- Lead a small crew of Fixed Plant maintenance staff and contractors, ensuring a safe and productive work environment
- Contribute to the planning process that enables production and processing optimisation.
- Maintain detailed maintenance history in Pronto regarding work orders and scheduling
- Manage mechanical personnel to ensure effective maintenance of plant and ancillaries aligning to business and operations targets and goals
- Work closely with the Process Supervisors to ensure the process plant and facilities available are achieving maximum effect
- Lead and implement continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintain and service processing plant infrastructure – crushing, milling, gravity, leaching, tailings, and reagent circuits
- Identify and diagnose items of the plant that require preventative maintenance or repair
- Attend call outs as per call out roster
- Liaise with Contractors and Stakeholders as required
ABOUT YOU
- Current “C” Class Western Australian driver’s licence
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a processing plant
- A can-do, team-oriented attitude
- Desire to maintain a proactive safe working environment
- Reasonable computer skills & literacy, particularly across the MS Office suite
- Solid problem-solving skills, with the ability to think on your feet and be adaptable
- Excellent communication skills
