About the role
As a Disability Support Worker specialising in high complex care, you will play a crucial role in providing compassionate and tailored support to individuals with physical disabilities and those experiencing the challenges of ageing.
We offer 24/7 shifts from Monday to Sunday, including overnight shifts. We welcome applications from candidates who are partially qualified or passionate individuals seeking a new career. Please indicate whether you are interested in a casual or part-time permanent opportunity in your application.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Offering personalised care and assistance to clients in their daily activities.
- Assisting with mobility, personal hygiene, and medication management.
- Implementing care plans developed in collaboration with healthcare professionals.
- Monitoring and reporting changes in the health and well-being of clients.
- Providing emotional support and companionship to enhance the overall quality of life.
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic care for clients.
About You:
- Passionate about human rights and creating positive change.
- Empathetic and compassionate, with a keen understanding of diverse experiences.
- Excellent communication skills to be the voice that resonates with others.
- Enthusiastic team player, eager to collaborate and inspire.
- Seeking a career change for growth and development, eager to learn knowledge through on-the-job learning.
- Previous experience in disability support, particularly in high complex care settings is highly regarded.
- Certification or qualifications in disability support, aged care, or a related field is highly regarded.
- Strong understanding of physical disabilities and the challenges associated with ageing is highly regarded.
