The Logistics System Support Officer will be pivotal in assisting the Enterprise Resource Change Manager with the roll out of the new Enterprise Resource Planning SAP based system.Defence ERP is a major transformational program that will standardise, simplify and align processes across all Defence Groups and Services through an integrated system and consistent way of working.

Joint Logistics Unit (North Queensland) is an enthusiastic and caring mix of military and civilian employees who are passionate about supporting soldiers, sailors and aviators across North Queensland. The team is made up of people with a range of backgrounds, skillsets and experiences, all drawn together by the desire to support the work of the ADF.The unit is dedicated to delivering essential logistics services including warehousing, distribution, equipment maintenance and clothing store support to enable military operations. It does this from modern facilities on Lavarack Barracks in Townsville. Joint Logistics Unit (North Queensland)’s span of responsibility stretches from Rockhampton in the South, to Thursday Island in the North.The unit utilises a broad range of internal skills, together with close relationships with local industry suppliers, to provide excellent logistics support to a wide range of military units across North Queensland.Our Ideal Candidate
Key attributes, knowledge and experience we are looking for:
- A self-motivated, collaborative, and innovative thinker;
- Have excellent communication skills, including the ability to engage with JLU(NQ) stakeholders at all levels.
- Have or be able to quickly have an understanding of the ERP transformation.
- Be proficient in database systems.
- Be capable in providing sound guidance, mentoring and support to staff regarding the changes and processes relating to ERP transformation, including potential on the job training.
- Strong time management skills, including the ability to prioritise a changing workload and negotiate an outcome, including in response to short notice operational requirements; and
- Be willing to operate as part of a team and foster a cohesive work environment.
