Position Description:
The Assistant Client Manager and Design Lead engage positively with stakeholders and have the ability to manage difficult situations. They value differences and diversity within the work environment and share their knowledge and expertise with their team.
Multiple vacancies are available across Client Management and Grant Design roles.
Assistant Client Manager
The Client Management function provides the single entry point into the Hub for in excess of 10 Client Agencies. Client Management provide quotes for existing programs and New Policy Proposals (NPPs) using the Hub’s Rate Card and Service Offer in line with the agreed service levels.
Design Lead
The Grant Design section co-designs grant opportunities with client agencies in line with Hub standard services to achieve government objectives and ensure alignment with relevant policy and legislative frameworks including the Commonwealth Grant Rules and Guidelines (CGRGs), Public Governance, Performance and Accountability (PGPA) Act, Financial Framework Supplementary Powers (FFSP) Regulations and other program specific legislation.
In the lead up to a grant opportunity opening, Design Leads liaise with Hub enabling areas to ensure agreed documentation meets Hub requirements and aligns with relevant policy and legislative frameworks.
Design Leads are also responsible for providing updates, using Shibumi Tracker, on the progress of grant opportunities throughout the Grants Lifecycle. These insights are used to strengthen the design of future grant rounds.

Eligibility / Additional Requirements:
To be eligible for employment with Department of Social Services (the department), you must be an Australian citizen. An applicant's suitability for employment with the Department will be assessed through a pre-employment screening process. This will include an identity and criminal history background check.
Eligibility to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance:
The suitable applicant must also obtain and maintain a security clearance conducted by the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA).
Applicants also must be able to establish their background as checkable to be considered eligible for a security clearance. Any gaps or periods of time spent overseas for 12 or more months (cumulative) that cannot be verified by an Australian referee is deemed uncheckable, rendering the applicant ineligible for a security clearance. Background history must cover 5 / 10 years (Baseline / Negative Vet 1 or Negative Vet 2) of employment, education, residential, criminal history and anything else specified by the AGSVA. The suitable applicant must be willing to disclose all relevant and required information to fulfil this process.
