The Opportunity
A close Federal Government Client of ours has requested the services of an experience Finance Officer to join a task force that is fast-paced and presents an exciting opportunity to collaborate, design and deliver whole-of-government outcomes. The successful candidate will work across government bringing together a broad suite of skills, including a strong understanding of Procurement and Contracts strategic policy, regulatory reform, data and digital strategy, human-centred design, business engagement, program management, and corporate support. The Finance Officer will assist the Taskforce with their financial needs and obligations procurement, contracting and financial needs.
All candidates applying for this position must be an Australian Citizen and have a current Baseline Security Clearance
Key responsibilities include:

• Provide relevant and accurate financial and procurement advice, using contemporary tools and practises to ensure compliance.
• Manage all accounts payable and receivables, complete data entry tasks, invoicing, payment and reconciliation
• Contribute and conduct financial analysis to support improved business outcomes and identify financial risks and business opportunities.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Experience with accounting systems similar to SAP, TM1, P2P, TRIM, or the ability to quickly acquire the skills to successfully navigate and use the systems.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to apply well developed analytical and problem-solving skills to achieve outcomes
• Demonstrated experience and knowledge with all facets of accounts financial planning and management, in particular accounts payable and receivable, data entry, invoicing, payment, reconciliation, general ledger and budget planning
