The Opportunity
A close Federal Government Client of ours has requested the services of an experience Finance Officer to join a task force that is fast-paced and presents an exciting opportunity to collaborate, design and deliver whole-of-government outcomes. The successful candidate will work across government bringing together a broad suite of skills, including a strong understanding of Procurement and Contracts strategic policy, regulatory reform, data and digital strategy, human-centred design, business engagement, program management, and corporate support. The Finance Officer will assist the Taskforce with their financial needs and obligations procurement, contracting and financial needs.

Key responsibilities include:
- Provide relevant and accurate financial and procurement advice, using contemporary tools and practises to ensure compliance.
- Manage all accounts payable and receivables, complete data entry tasks, invoicing, payment and reconciliation
- Contribute and conduct financial analysis to support improved business outcomes and identify financial risks and business opportunities.
- Experience with accounting systems similar to SAP, TM1, P2P, TRIM, or the ability to quickly acquire the skills to successfully navigate and use the systems.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to apply well developed analytical and problem-solving skills to achieve outcomes
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge with all facets of accounts financial planning and management, in particular accounts payable and receivable, data entry, invoicing, payment, reconciliation, general ledger and budget planning
