About this opportunity
Benmax are looking for a flexible and capable Accounts Payable Officer to join a busy, friendly, and professional team to work closely with the Finance Team.
The role is full-time, though we are open to part-time (minimum 0.8 FTE). The role can be built around the successful candidate to fit around a busy home life – you let us know what works for you!
Our team is based in Queanbeyan just outside of Canberra, but we are open to a mix of office based and work from home once training is complete.

In this position, you will be responsible for the following:
- Process purchase orders and invoices for all entities across the business
- Pay creditors as per creditor payment schedule
- Complete Accounts Payable reconciliations
- Capturing of correct GST
- Monitor and action accounts inbox
- Reception duties
- Manage Eftsure portal
- Maintenance of subcontractors’ insurance register
- Gather TPAR data for accountant reporting
- Reporting of invoices processed in and out of the system

About you
To be successful in the position, you will have the following:
- Year 12 certificate minimum (essential)
- 12 months minimum experience in a similar role
- Competency and experience in accounting software
- Competency and experience in service software (Simpro or similar)
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
- A positive, can-do, attitude to work.
- A genuine interest and passion for working as part of a small, professional team.
