The Role:
As a Financial Accountant, you'll report directly to the Senior Financial Accountant, contributing to the preparation of high-quality financial statements and ensuring timely reporting to Parliament and the Department of Finance.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing Annual Financial Statements and supporting work papers for audit.
- Conducting month-end processes to deliver internal and external financial reporting.
- Performing quality assurance checks on general ledger records.
- Providing expert advice on financial matters and accounting policies.
- Collaborating with auditors and external suppliers.
Qualifications and Education:
- Recognized tertiary and/or professional accounting qualifications (CPA, CA, or IPA membership).
- A minimum of 2 years of financial accounting experience.

- Well-developed financial accounting skills.
- Strong communication abilities in accounting and relevant areas.
- The capacity to handle moderate complexity tasks with minimal support.
Eligibility:
Candidates must be Australian citizens unless otherwise agreed in writing. This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline security clearance.
