They have a strong pipeline of work and are looking for Management Accountants to join their firm and deliver superior service and solutions to their clients.
The Role:
This consulting firm is enjoying considerable success within the Canberra market, bucking the trend across the industry. They have experienced growth across their Federal Government clients and deliver project-based work that has a focus on:
- Costing including activity based costing and cost allocation
- Budgeting and capital planning
- Systems implementation
- Financial reporting
- Business/financial analysis
- Financial viability
They are at a point where they need to expand further and are interested in engaging professionals on a permanent basis. You will be employed to deliver a projects for a specific client with measurable outcomes and timelines. Working autonomously but still under the supervision of senior staff, you will use your technical expertise to deliver positive results for the client.
Your role will also focus on the continued expansion of the brand, you will work on multiple assignments and search for opportunities to expand the business whilst still delivering quality outcomes for clients.
Your Skills and Experience:
You are recognised by your peers as a strong communicator, you can negotiate, influence and liaise at all levels of business with ease. If you have worked in the Government, you are likely to have gained experience at the APS5/6/EL1 level. If you have been in the private sector or with another firm, you are currently operating at the intermediate/senior accountant/finance manager level. It’s expected that you will have already completed or be close to completing your professional qualifications CA/CPA.
You are an Australian Citizen, and it would be a bonus if you already hold a security clearance.
In terms of technical skills, you are able to demonstrate experience from a management accounting environment and have exposure to budgeting, forecasting, modelling, costing and analysis. You have advanced excel skills and a broad understanding of finance. They are also interested to meet with candidates that have experience across capital planning and capital budgeting.
