The APS 6Logistics Governance Manager (LGM) is responsible to the Surveillance and Control Systems Program Office (S&CSPO) Chief Logistics Officer for the Governance and Assurance of internal and external (industry) Material Logistics functions. This work enables Surveillance and Control Systems Program Office (S&CSPO) to meet its statutory logistics obligations to CASG, Defence and Government.Importantly, the LGM enables capability delivery within S&CSPO by performing key functions that include:
- Leading the logistics planning, compliance and assurance activities (including MILIS stocktake planning and reporting).
- Providing specialised advice and recommendations on logistics compliance policies, procedures and regulations to a range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Conducting timely Logistics performance analytics and reporting.
- Identify and implement areas for improvement, knowledge sharing and collaborative resourcing opportunities within the Material Logistics functions across S&CSPO and CASG.
The APS 6Logistics Governance Manager position is situated in the Logistics Team of the Engineering and Logistics Governance Unit (E&LGU) within S&CSPO, based at RAAF Base Williamtown. E&LGU is a small team developing, maintaining and monitoring standardised Engineering, Logistics and Cyber processes and procedures across S&CSPO and within our Industry Partners.The E&LGU Logistics Team provides Logistics, Governance, and Assurance services that help convert complex logistics systems into capability, safely. The E&LGU Logistics Team provides reliable, continuous and sufficient assurance of the management and conduct of Materiel Logistics across the S&CSPO Enterprise.We support and work together with Australian Public Servants, Australian Defence Force members and our Industry partners to ensure we achieve our mission of supporting Defence capability.Our Ideal Candidate
We are looking for our Logistics Governance Manager (LGM) to be innovative, bold and able to work in a dynamic environment to assist S&CSPO pivot to an agile and responsive organisation to meet the requirements of our clients. In doing so, our LGM will ensure processes meet policy requirements while focused on efficient best practice to deliver Air Traffic Management and Air Battlespace Management products to the warfighter.You will have demonstrated qualifications and experience in logistic compliance and assurance for complex inventory and logistics systems. Experience as a Logistics Officer or experience working in a similar role ensuring the alignment of governance, assurance, risk, and compliance frameworks will be an advantage. You will be proficient and experienced with Logistics databases, have well-developed organisational skills with the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines. You will have excellent interpersonal skills, communicate effectively and can negotiate with influence.
