To put it simply we want our people to thrive and love the work they do.About the JobThis role will strengthen the effective operation of Rest’s Investment Governance processes to help improve investment outcomes by ensuring that investment delegations are exercised, communicated and documented effectively.This includes collaborating with investment teams and allied functions, serving as a “bridge” between portfolio management, legal, tax, accounting and operational teams, to ensure the efficient and effective implementation of investment decisions.This role will also assist in facilitating reporting for the operation of Investment Governance structures to support transparent oversight of investment decision making.
  • Assisting the Head of Investment Governance with the operation of delegation frameworks and processes to help drive continuous improvement of Rest’s investment decision-making.
  • Develop, implement and maintain reporting frameworks across the investment function, including collating and analysing data from multiple sources to provide timely information to stakeholders.
  • Develop and contribute to appropriate Investment Governance reporting / dashboards for internal stakeholders including management committees.
  • Ensuring accuracy, completeness and quality of information reported to support effective decision-making and identifying business improvement opportunities.
  • Ensuring stakeholders have a clear and accurate understanding of the Investment Governance framework, its Implementation and opportunities for input and refinement.
  • Support the execution of investment decisions by partnering with investment team functions and other stakeholders to transition decisions from proposal to implementation.
  • Seek and apply knowledge of relevant strategies, policies, practices and standards to organise and prioritise work, using judgment to solve problems and address challenges.
  • Maintain collaborative working relationships with various stakeholders (internal investment team, Company Secretariat, investment operations and finance) to support on initiatives where governance expertise is required.
QualificationsAbout You:
  • Highly analytical, logical and able to identify potential issues and resolve them through assessing trade-offs.
  • Ability to communicate concisely, effectively engage and develop positive working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Experience in a similar investment risk or governance role within a superannuation fund, global asset manager or financial institution.
  • Strong knowledge of governance frameworks and policy/procedure requirements within an institutional investing context.
  • Ability to effectively liaise with Board/Committee members and senior management.
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills and experience and an ability to effectively work under tight timeframes.
