The Role
Role expectations include:
- Apply skills, knowledge and experience necessary to provide advice and services for a range of complex workforce management activities
- Engage, negotiate and collaborate with stakeholders on complex workforce matters to achieve business outcomes
- Facilitate understanding and advice on specific workforce management and planning activities, including workforce design, demand and supply
- Support the Strategic Workforce and Business Manager with the following activities to support Division Head, Division Executives and Branches:
- Human capability planning, risk identification/assessment and identification of mitigation strategies/controls.
- Maintain oversight and management of the division’s total integrated workforce establishments.
- Prepare and present quarterly workforce reporting at executive meeting
- Develop and maintain SharePoint governance platform
- Prepare Work Health and Safety reporting
- Develop and implement procedural, administrative and Business support documentation consistent with Defence policies and relevant employment legislative frameworks.
- Share own expertise and knowledge, mentor, guide and supervise APS 4 Business Support Officer.
Aerospace Systems Division mission is to acquire and sustain Air Force’s operational aircraft fleet and related systems in support of Defence’s Mission and Purpose. The APS 6 Strategic Work Force and Business Officer is part of a high performing team directly supporting the Division Head and contributing to the effective management of their office in order to ensure divisional operations are appropriately managed.
