Currently, there are around 4.3 million Australians with a disability. The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) implements the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), which is one of the biggest social reforms in the country since Medicare. As an Agency, we support more than 600,000 participants with a significant and permanent disability, and the families and carers of those living with disability. For many Australians, this will be the first time they receive the disability support they need. The NDIA is designed to enhance the quality of life and increase economic and social participation for people with disability and will mean a peace of mind for every Australian.

We have an exciting new opportunity to join the Agency as an APS6 Technology Asset Officer within our Agency ICT Services Branch.
Some of the key tasks of the Agency ICT Services Branch include implementing ICT projects and initiatives to enhance the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the Agencys operations, overseeing the implementation and deployment of new ICT solutions, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget, conducting post-implementation reviews to evaluate the success of ICT projects and identify areas for improvement and collaborating with key stakeholders to gather requirements and develop project plans for implementing new ICT solutions.

As an APS6 Technology Asset Officer, you will be responsible for managing Technology Assets and engaging with various stakeholders to address complex and sensitive issues. Your role will involve representing the branch/division/NDIA in public interactions and collaborating with internal and external parties to ensure effective management of Technology Assets and licences.

APS 6 Technology Asset Officers play a crucial role in managing Technology Assets, engaging with stakeholders, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to support the branch/division/NDIA in achieving its objectives and delivering quality services to the public.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Identifying, developing, and implementing continuous improvements to enhance the capability, maturity, and performance of Technology Asset practices.
  • Providing regular reports on operations and performance related to Technology Assets.
  • Reporting on key metrics and performance indicators enables stakeholders to assess progress and make informed decisions.
  • Collaborating with technical owners and stakeholders to facilitate the resolution of practice work items and achieve positive business outcomes.
  • Engaging with the relevant processes that oversee the management of work items throughout their lifecycle.

While this role is ideally performed from WA Rockingham, WA Perth, QLD Brisbane, NSW Sydney, SA Adelaide, ACT Deakin, VIC Geelong, VIC Richmond, remote working arrangements may be considered. We intend to fill this role in an ongoing capacity, however non-ongoing roles up to 18 months may be offered.

Successful candidates will be required to undergo a pre-employment National Police History check, Worker Screening check and/or Working with Children Check (where required) and provide evidence of Australian Citizenship.
