Currently, there are around 4.3 million Australians with a disability. The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) implements the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), which is one of the biggest social reforms in the country since Medicare. As an Agency, we support more than 600,000 participants with a significant and permanent disability, and the families and carers of those living with disability. For many Australians, this will be the first time they receive the disability support they need. The NDIA is designed to enhance the quality of life and increase economic and social participation for people with disability and will mean a peace of mind for every Australian.

A new role awaits

We have a unique vacancy in the Agency ICT Services branch to join our team as an APS3 Technology Asset Officer.

The Agency ICT Services branch provides essential technology services and support to NDIA staff and partners. The branch manages the relationship with Services Australia and other external ICT service providers within the agreed service levels.

Operating within a highly experienced and high performing team, you will have skills and experience to provide support to the Agency staff and partners. As an APS3 Technology Asset Officer, you will be responsible for setting priorities and managing workflow.

Additional duties include but are not limited to:

  • Completing allocated tasks, making decisions within defined parameters relating to Technology Assets
  • Contributing to the improvement of quality and efficiency of Technology Assets processes
  • Performing risk analysis activities and developing compliance strategies, for Technology Assets
  • Updating and maintaining appropriate registration of all Technology Assets and participating in asset stocktakes and audits
Enough about us, let’s talk about you

This position requires the application of clerical, administrative support and operational tasks including some basic research and analysis activities and working in the team setting with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities. Whilst not being a requirement, previous experience in hardware asset management would be advantageous.

To be successful in the role, you will have the ability to work and troubleshoot independently. You will have effective communication skills to handle queries from people from diverse settings. You will exhibit a positive contemporary attitude to people with disability and have a high level understanding and knowledge of disability and its impact on individuals.

This role is performed from Deakin - ACT, or Richmond - VIC and will be required to work in the office 5 days a week. We intend to fill this role in an ongoing capacity, however non-ongoing roles up to 12 months may be offered.

Successful candidates will be required to undergo a pre-employment National Police History check, Worker Screening check and/or Working with Children Check (where required) and provide evidence of Australian Citizenship.
