ERP is a major multi-year, complex ICT transformation program focused on standardising and integrating Defence’s finance, asset management, logistics, estate and human resource processes and systems to drive workforce efficiency and decision making superiority. To enable this transformation, ERP will transition all applicable areas of the Department to a single integrated SAP system.
The Program will eliminate hundreds of complicated and unnecessary processes, ICT systems and tools, and replace them with a new ICT solution.
ERP is working across Defence to deliver ICT capability, as part of a multidisciplinary team (which includes APS, ADF and full range of industry partners). Ultimately this is a high profile position with the Senior Leadership, with the ERP playing a key role in helping deliver the Defence Transformation Strategy.
